As we continue to adjust to remote work and address the challenges associated with COVID 19, we are pleased to announce that Sharon Field has been named Lehigh’s director of transportation and parking services.
Sharon has served as manager of parking services since 2005. Prior to serving as parking services manager, she served as operations manager in transportation services. She has more than 30 years of combined experience at Lehigh.
Sharon brings extensive institutional knowledge and parking and transportation experience to the position. Prior to Lehigh, Sharon served in the U. S. Airforce.
As director, Sharon will be responsible for leading the combined offices of parking and transportation services and ensuring that the parking and transportation needs of the campus community are met. She will provide leadership and oversight for parking and transit services, manage the integration of alternative transportation options and mobility programs, and oversee Lehigh’s fleet operations.
Sharon will work closely with Bob Bruneio, manager of transportation services, to assess and continue to enhance our transit programs. Bob has served as manager of transportation services since 2012. Prior to his current role, he served as a police officer in the Lehigh police department for 26 years.
We anticipate that this integrated approach to transportation and parking functions will streamline planning and new program implementation efforts and provide learning and development opportunities for staff in both operations.
