Exciting Changes Coming to Farrington Square

University Business Services is excited to announce several changes coming to Farrington Square, the Mail Center, and the Lehigh University Bookstore beginning this summer!

The Lehigh University Bookstore, formally renamed The Lehigh Store, will be getting a new look with a more modern course material process to reflect the current needs and shopping habits of our students, which shifted even more considerably during Covid.

Additional summer updates include:

  • A complete renovation of the first floor that will show off our Lehigh pride, a new faculty and alumni author feature wall, a new course materials customer service desk, a larger selection of Lehigh apparel and gifts, and a new tech store featuring Apple products.
  • To address recent increases in package volume and turnaround times, the Mail Center will move across Farrington Square into the 2nd floor. Besides providing student mail and package services, the Mail Center will be the central pick-up location for course materials. This location will also include a new intelligent locker system for students living in Farrington Square. Thank you to the students who have shared their improvement suggestions with us during the year.
  • To accommodate the new Mail Center location, the Bookstore Café will be removed. In the fall, we encourage you to visit Lehigh Dining Services or one of the great local Southside restaurants and coffee shops including Johnny’s Bagels and Deli, The Cup, Lit, Saxby’s, Zekraft, and more.

Lastly, we will have a vacancy at 4 Farrington Square once the Mail Center relocates in late July. We have asked the Student Senate’s Subcommittee on Facilities and Services to help us brainstorm possible tenants that meet student needs and complement the existing Southside business community. We look forward to partnering with them over the next several months.

We will continue to keep you updated during the summer with more information and look forward to inviting the campus to a ribbon-cutting and open house this fall.
